Leading stocks...

In case you are wondering why I am so keen to add to APKT at a time when the markets are trading near new recent lows refer to a) the fundamentals of APKT and b) its technicals.

If you refer to the work of Dan Zanger and Mark Minervini both of whom have similar trading styles to myself you will find that they both define a "leading stock" as follows.

In my own words, they both describe a leading stock as a stock with explosive earnings that is basing near new highs meanwhile the overall market indexes are cascading lower. These stocks then break out of these bases either just before, just as or soon after the market indexes confirm a new uptrend.

Here is one post by Mark Minervini explaining the concept:

The following are the parts to a three part interview of Dan Zanger by Matt Blackman in which explains the same concept I speak about above:

These two guy are two of the best momentum/growth stock traders in the history of the markets and I have learned alot from reading their work. Hope you find these links as useful and enjoyable as I did. You have to read and reread posts by expert traders because you never get everything the first time.

Good luck and good trading!
